South Riding Summer Concerts 2015

Mike and his friends set up for face painting at many of the Friday Night Summer Concerts in South Riding. Here are some photos from the many concerts.

Face Painting Workshop

When he has the chance, Mike attends workshops and other training to improve his face painting and balloons. On Sunday, July 26, 2015, he attended Monsters in Maryland, a workshop given by Nick Wolfe. Here are some photos from that workshop.

Broadlands Live

For the second year, Mike will be at the Broadlands Live concert series doing balloons and face painting for the kids. The concerts are at Hillside Park at 42935 Waxpool Rd., Broadlands, VA 20148 on the second Friday of each month. This year, that is:

Sadie’s Race 2015

For several years, Mike has supported Sadie’s Smile Foundation by doing face painting at Sadie’s Race. The 2015 event was on Sunday, May 3, 2015 in Purcellville, VA at the train station. The event is to raise money for Smile Train in memory of Sadie Ablard.

Mid-Atlantic Clown Convention

In November 2014, Sir Toony attended the Mid-Atlantic Clown Association 31st Annual Convention in Harrisburg, PA. While at the convention, he had the chance to learn from clowns from around the United States who were presenting workshops. He also participated in the nightly balloon jams and entered the balloon, face painting, and skit competitions.

South Riding Summer Concerts

This summer, Mike and several of his friends went to several of the Summer Concerts in South Riding and offered face painting for the kids. The concerts alternated between the Town Green (43055 Center Street) or at the SRC Stage (42420 Unicorn Drive). The kids enjoyed the chance to get their faces painted.
